Good to know

Questions we hear most.

How many guests can we host?

Up to 200. Our lot holds 50 vehicles, plus vendor parking. Buses can drop off at The Barn and park offsite.

Is there a rain plan?

The Main Hall is a beautiful cold- and rainy-weather location for your ceremony, and the Ceremony Lawn may be tented at your cost.

Can we choose our own vendors?

We highly recommend you choose a vendor from our curated preferred vendor list. If there’s a specific vendor you have in mind that is not on our list, we are happy to consider them. Please put us in touch.

Do we need a license to serve alcohol?

Yes. Virginia requires the host or caterer to hold a one-day banquet license from the VA ABC for each event day, and bartenders must be certified. The process is easy, and we can answer any questions you have.

What are the decor guidelines?

Decor and florals are yours to arrange and clear by 11:30 pm. Candles must be in containers on tables. Lights and greenery may dress banisters and posts, but no staples, nails, or tacks. We don't provide linens.

Where do guests stay?

There's no lodging on the farm. Charlottesville is twenty minutes away.

How do we book?

A 50% payment at signing secures your date, and the remaining balance is due two months before your event. Any damage to the premises is deducted from a $1,000 refundable deposit.
